Equine Assisted Learning
Equine assisted learning can be mounted or unmounted. These sessions are aimed towards learning body language awareness with a horse, mindfulness, and learning life skills. These sessions often include additional staff to support client.
Private Beginner Lessons
Beginner lessons will introduce individuals to horsemanship starting on the ground. We will teach basic horse etiquette and horse care followed by learning to independently tack a horse for riding. Riding instructors will teach and reinforce key safety measures while students build skills from beginner level riding and up.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy takes you out of the office and into nature with horses. EAP blends elements of traditional therapy such as talking, creating a treatment plan to work on goals that address behavioral concerns, and learning coping skills but we incorporate the horses in sessions. This often helps people open up and develop connections quicker and demonstrates through interactions and activities maladapative behaviors they engage in and how to work through them in a safe and accepting environment with the help of a licensed therapist. The skills learned here at the ranch can then be applied to everyday life.
Whether it's a nonconventional, relaxed environment that you are seeking to process difficult emotions or experiential learning activities with horses that help devlop self-awareness, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy has a lot to offer.
